This water feature project uses Ink Onyx hand-split natural granite as the main material for the waterfall wall. The dark grey-black stone develops a pronounced relief after hand splitting, and flowing water accentuates the natural texture, depth and tonal variation across the surface.

The wall elements are cut and processed to suit the design dimensions, with attention to panel size, thickness, edge alignment and consistency of the relief. For landscape elements made to drawings, our custom fabricated granite slabs and tiles can be produced around wall modules, fixing details and water-feature geometry.

Natural granite offers stable outdoor weathering performance, while the hand-split surface retains a strong stone character in continuously wet environments. This makes the material suitable for courtyard waterfall walls, hotel entrance water features, commercial landscape walls and other premium courtyard, garden and waterscape applications. Structural support, waterproofing, drainage and fixing details should still be coordinated as part of the overall design.

The design relies on the relationship between Ink Onyx colour, natural relief and moving water rather than colour alone. For material selection, see how landscape designers evaluate granite paving materials across colour, finish, dimensions, installation conditions and long-term maintenance.
