Project Focus: Extending the Architecture into the Landscape
The headquarters features a clean and clearly defined contemporary architectural language. Rather than introducing complex paving patterns or multiple contrasting colours, the forecourt uses the proportions and continuous arrangement of granite slabs to establish visual order.
The main entrance and surrounding forecourt follow the same paving logic. Large-format granite slabs extend outward from the building entrance, creating a stronger visual connection between the architecture, pedestrian areas and open plaza.
In a large-scale space like this, the objective is not to make each individual stone stand out. What matters is how hundreds of slabs work together to create a calm, consistent and natural background that complements the architecture.
Large Plazas Require Detailed Slab Planning from the Paving Layout
Although the main plaza is based largely on regular slab formats, not every area can use exactly the same dimensions once the project enters the production stage.
Building edges, entrance axes, steps, drainage points, corners and transitions between different paving areas can all create requirements for special sizes.
Before fabrication, the paving layout therefore needs to be reviewed and translated into practical slab dimensions.
Standard dimensions and consistent paving modules can be used across the main areas to improve production efficiency and simplify installation. Entrance Paving Must Also Perform Over the Long Term
An office headquarters entrance is a high-traffic area designed for continuous use.
In addition to its appearance when the building is completed, the paving must withstand pedestrian traffic, service equipment, routine cleaning and long-term exposure to outdoor conditions.
The selected stone finish therefore needs to complement the clean architectural language while also considering slip resistance, wear resistance and long-term maintenance.
Natural granite offers the strength and outdoor durability required for this type of application. With an appropriate surface finish, it can retain its natural mineral character while meeting the practical requirements of a large public entrance and forecourt.

For large custom granite paving projects involving multiple dimensions and special cut pieces, producing each slab to the correct size is only part of the process.
Production, identification, packing and installation areas should remain clearly connected.
Organising slabs according to dimensions and installation zones can reduce unnecessary sorting after the material arrives on site. It also helps installers identify where different slab sizes and custom pieces belong.
