The Hong Kong K11 commercial plaza uses Sesame Black granite setts together with a light granite to create a two-tone paving scheme. Completed in 2019, the project covers approximately 3,100 m², with a principal sett size of 100×100×100 mm.

The lighter areas use Sesame White granite setts. The two colours are arranged in concentric circles, fan patterns and curved bands to define movement routes and open plaza zones with a clear geometric structure.

Large commercial plaza schemes like this place high demands on the dimensional consistency, colour grouping and batch stability of natural granite setts and cobblestones. Setting out the circle centres, radii and fan boundaries accurately is also essential for clean joints and smooth transitions between paving fields.

This project shows how two-tone stone selection must work together with curved setting-out and installation control. For related design principles, see our guide to curved and fan-pattern natural stone paving for plazas, courtyards and pedestrian spaces.
